Nov 25, 2020

19 November 2020, Singapore -- ( ASIA TODAY ) -- In a bid to identify and groom young talents in the F&B industry, F&N Foods and ITE College West’s School of Hospitality jointly organised F&N The Greatest Mix – Drinks Creation Challenge, for students from the Nitec in Hospitality Operations course. F&N The Greatest Mix – Drinks Creation Challenge provided a platform for these young talents to build their confidence at an early age and showcase their exciting creations using the F&N range of products, to a panel of F&B industry leaders.

F&N The Greatest Mix – Drinks Creation Challenge which took place earlier today at ITE College West was a truly unique event which combined live judging at the campus and an online audience of teachers, friends and peers who viewed the challenge via livestreaming. The 10 finalists presented their bartending and mixology skills to a panel of judges comprising Ms Jennifer See (Managing Director of F&N Foods), Ms Denise Tan (Director of the School of Hospitality, ITE College West), and Mr Steven Chen (Director Of Operations, Fine Dining, Crystal Jade & President Of Association Bartenders Sommeliers Singapore).

In her welcome address, Ms Jennifer See, Managing Director of F&N Foods said, “we are delighted to be able to jointly organise this challenge with ITE for a third year. We share ITE’s belief in supporting the aspirations of the young and hope that this experience will offer them an opportunity to learn from the experience of presenting their creations to a panel of judges whose experience represent the expectations of future employers in the hospitality and food and beverage industries.” She added, “through this we also hope to inspire them to excel in their chosen career and continue to contribute to the success of Singapore and its reputation for excellence in these industries.”

The 10 student finalists were evaluated not only on taste, colour, creativity and the visual appeal of their creations but also their preparation technique and presentation skills. This year, in addition to the top 3 prizes, which were awarded based on the scores from the panel of judges, the Popular Choice Award was awarded to the finalist who received the highest number of audience votes.

Cash prizes totalling to $950 were awarded to the winners of the top 3 prizes and the Popular Choice Award. The winners of F&N The Greatest Mix – Drinks Creation Challenge are:
